Heya all,

Well the last entry definitely needed bumping off my frontpage as it was entered back in January. I haven't done much at all photography-wise since then, hence the lack of updates or activity round these parts. :) However, the weather is warming up and the world is becoming colorful again, so I hope that will change soon. I've added a few final pics from my January trip to langkawi, and now I'm ready to get out and shoot some more recent stuff. Hopefully see you all around dA in the near future!

Thanks very much - you and your cat are too kind! I will certainly be checking your gallery asap (in the next week) - please let your cat know. :D I've just popped back from some small islands in Malaysia - I hope to upload some photos soon (week or so - got back from holidays yesterday, started work again today - ugh). Feel free to come check them out sometime next week!

The 10-22 is a pretty decent lens; it gets quite wide even on our smaller sensors. I'm currently in a motel, taking off for Penang/Borneo early in the morning. I'm taking the 40D body + battery grip, my flash, a 1.4 TC and the 10-22, 24-70, and 70-200 lenses. Should work out fine, I hope. That trip to Vietnam sounds great, and your lens choice sounds almost exactly like mine (I reckon I'll have the IS version of the 70-200L by then)! :D
~cjmchch:iconcjmchch: Jan 15, 2008, 9:38:52 PM
Well, I must say that high on my list is the 10-22 followed by a 70-200L IS and a 1.4 TC. I booked and paid for 23 day holiday to Vietnam 3 days ago travelling October - November so want those lenses before I go.
~mesondecay:iconmesondecay: Jan 15, 2008, 8:16:06 PM
Cheers Chris, thanks for the well wishes. That was an awesome photo of yours, so no probs! I picked up the 70-200L sometime in Feb. 2006 I think. Well before the 24-70L and a bit before the 10-22. :) I don't use it so much as the 24-70 is perfect for 90% of the stuff I do! I'm debating about ditching it for a 70-200L IS, but that's not too high up on my list right now.

Thanks for the fav Andy, appreciated. Your work isn't going unnoticed either, just really struggling for time to sit at the computer these days. Loved those last shots of yours from the zoo, especially the lions. Will take some time over the next week to sit and browse throgh your catalogue....while you're away. Enjoy your trip mate, take lots of photos!

ps When did you get the 70-200L? Did you sneak that one in without telling?

Hmm was good yeah, ive been to other parts of Korea many times previously to visit my Dad so, even though i'm grateful of the opportunity, the novelty of traveling for so many hours to get there has kinda worn off. & i get terribly homesick but the best thing about it is seeing my dad i guess! =] x
